Online tickets are particularly advantageous during peak season, as buses may be fully booked at certain times due to high demand. The journey from Chania to Chora Sfakion or Paleochora costs €8.30 per person. The journey time to Paleochora is approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes, while the journey to Chora Sfakion takes around 1.5 hours.


#4: Useful info about bus connection


Both journeys, to Paleochora and Chora Sfakion, take you through beautiful countryside. The route to Chora Sfakion is even more spectacular, as it follows one of the most beautiful roads on the entire island of Crete. A seemingly endless winding road leads across the Askifou plateau through the foothills of the White Mountains and ends in a breathtaking mountain road that winds its way to the south coast of Crete with spectacular views of the Libyan Sea as far as the island of Gavdos. Both routes have in common that the entire journey takes you through mountainous and winding terrain. If you have problems with winding roads, you should take a travel tablet for nausea. In general, the roads to Paleochora and Chora Sfakion are of good quality. In most cases, the buses are air-conditioned and modern.
