I’m David Neumeyer, founder of Gavdos Travelling, travel writer, blogger, photographer, videographer, and travel consultant. I’ve been traveling regularly to Gavdos and Crete for over ten years and have developed a close personal connection to this region over the years. What began as a passion for the island of Gavdos has since evolved into a comprehensive travel platform that I run with all my heart. Through my blog and social media channels, I share personal travel stories, well-researched and professionally presented information, insider tips, and high-quality photographs. My goal is to provide visitors to the island of Gavdos and southern Crete with an authentic experience, showcasing various places from their genuine and unique sides—as you’ve never seen them before. To do this, I venture off the beaten path and embrace the unknown. For me, the individuality of travel is the most important thing. This is the result of over 10 years of travel experience and several years of living on Gavdos and in southwestern Crete. In 2022, I published my travel guide, “Gavdos—A Journey to the Southernmost Point of Europe,” which has been expanded and updated annually ever since. It is the most comprehensive travel guide to the island of Gavdos available on the market. In addition, I have expanded my services to include digital travel maps and personalized travel consulting. I help travelers plan their stays and share my many years of experience and local knowledge directly with them. I have also continuously expanded my work in the areas of photography and social media content creation. In addition to my own photography projects, I now conduct professional photo shoots for accommodations, combining my experience as a photographer with my knowledge of the region and its unique features. Today, through Gavdos Travelling, I combine several fields: travel journalism, tourism, photography, social media, and personalized travel consulting. This combination allows me to carry out a variety of projects and support businesses and tourism providers with their presentation and marketing efforts.
